Hi everyone. I kind of got this idea from the discussion about where to find books on the web, (sorry, I don't remember the exact name at the moment). Anyway, I have just discovered another great informational website. It's called How Products Are Made, at www.madehow.com, which, of course tells how various things are made. *smile* I also know of www.ehow.com (how to do different things), and www.howstuffworks.com. I'm really curious to know if y'all know any other websites like the ones I mentioned, that specifically tell the how, why, what, when, or who of things. Or it can be a site that gives information about specific things. An example of this would be like www.recipesource.com to find recipes or www.abledata.com to find accessible products. I mean those are the only ones I know off the top of my head, but yeah, it can be pretty much anything as long as it's on specific topics. I'm not really looking for general-information stuff like general encyclopedias or search engines because you can easily find those anywhere. But come and share the informational sites you know of! I think this can be a pretty interesting resource for those who are looking for specific information or who just love reading and learning. *smile*

I agree with that. It's 50 bucks a year, but that's worth getting to read books that would be otherwise time-consuming to scan or order. *smiles* By the way, here's another good site: www.accesswatch.info/, find out about and evaluate how accessible mainstream software is with screen readers.

I've checked out a few of these sites and they look pretty good indeed. I especially like www.accesswatch.info .

Thanks,

You can also try www.blindworld.net. There are many articles about the blind all over the place and any medical updates.

You can also go to www.ask.com and you can ask any question about different things and they will send you to different web pages that can help you.
